Christmas tree bird's nest

I love this bird's nest and wouldn't feel like the Christmas tree was complete without it.  I don't think it's a family tradition and I don't even know when I started doing it.  Do you have a favorite ornament for your Christmas tree and wonder what it means?

According to an old German legend, if you find a bird nest in the tree you harvest for Christmas, you will have an entire year of health and happiness.

A legend tells of the magic of all the world’s birds bursting into song as if with one voice the night the Christ child was born. Your family may find a bird’s nest in the Christmas tree – the gift of health, wealth and happiness throughout the year.

...a Bird Nest for your Christmas Tree. It is said that it will bring you Happiness, Good Fortune and Wealth in the coming year!

Next to Santas, birds are considered to be among the most common figural tree ornament. They have religious symbolism as being biblical messengers that bring God's love and peace to the world. Birds are also symbolic of good luck and good fortune. It is said that many German families felt that finding a bird's nest was a sign that good luck would come to their family throughout the year.

There is a Swedish Legend that states that if you find a bird nest in your Christmas tree, you'll have a year of Health, Wealth and Happiness.
