Reaching for the light

Sometimes when I see the sun hit the leaves of a plant, it takes my breath away. I understand the chemical processes of photosynthesis and phototropism. Still, I can't help but imagine a plant's sense of joy and determination as it seeks out the light as it's source of sustenance and purpose. In winter, I feel the same craving for sun and satisfaction with time spent enjoying a bright sunny day with the sun on my skin.
