Moss and lichens are amazing to me. They cling to rocks, like this one in a stone wall, and go about their green lives in spite of the cold and snow. What a cheerful sight in the middle of winter, when so much else has abandoned it's green leaves to wait for warmer weather. This bit of green peeks out from under the snow, undeterred by the cold and snow.
