Winter flowers

Nothing else lifts my spirits more than seeing green growing plants. In winter, I satisfy this pleasure with houseplants and bulbs. The Narcissus bulbs that I started just after Christmas are finally starting to bloom. I tried a new set-up this year, planting them on blue glass in a large glass jar. The sun sparkles on the glass and the tall sides will keep the leaves from flopping over as the flowers mature. I wish you could smell the aroma also.
